What makes us the Preschool for you? 1) Location, location, location. No traffic streets, a safe and secure location. The preschool center is modern, first floor, sunny, open. The outdoor playground is modern, safe, spacious. We are located in Christ the King Lutheran church, one block west of Plum Grove Road and one block north of Illinois Avenue in Palatine at Michigan and Brockway. Near Pleasant Hill School and Kirk School. 2) Size. Smaller than most preschools, your little one will receive the attention and love he/she deserves for a first-time school experience. 3) Christian. Christmas, Easter and Prayers celebrated without restraints. All are welcome to attend, Christian or not. But a Christian atmosphere is safe, supporting and caring, a blessing to all! 4) A supporting parish and staff. The congregation and pastor fully support this preschool and KinderKlub as part of the mission of Christ to our community. | Curriculum Goals and Objectives | <> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> /> />>The members of Christ the King Lutheran Church established Christ the king Lutheran Preschool to assist parents in training their children. We look upon a child as a gift God has given parents; a child God expects parents to properly train and instruct. We look upon ourselves as helpers in this task of nurturing a child's growth and development. To accomplish this, the following objectives will direct our preschool program: - To provide a Christian atmosphere for training a child at an age when he/she is most easily directed and influenced.
- To lead the child to know his/her Lord Jesus Christ, the wonders of His creation and His plan of salvation.
- To help the child display Christian love in his/her relationship with others.
- To help the child become a good steward of his/her time, gifts, and talents.
- To broaden the child¡¦s spiritual, mental, social, physical, and emotional growth with new experiences.
- To provide the child with many opportunities for work and play within group situations.
- To prepare the child for later, more formal instruction by helping to make the child's adjustment to the school environment happy and wholesome.
- To follow the child's progress in all phases of growth through observation and through communication with parents.
To fufill these objectives, the following specific processes and activities for the child are included in our curriculum: |
