Welcome to Christ the King!  We pray you will find this a church of the “open door” -- a truly welcoming parish.
We invite you to join this community of faith.  There are several ways to join an Evangelical Lutheran Church:
  1. By Holy Baptism.  Holy Baptism is open to all, with no discrimination of age.  Please speak with the pastor about the baptism of your children or you if you are un-baptized.  If you have already received a Christian baptism in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, there is no need to be re-baptized.
  1. By Transfer from a sister congregation.  Please contact your home WELS or ELS pastor and request a transfer of membership to Christ the King.  We will notify you when we receive your transfer of membership.  We will celebrate your new membership with a short rite of reception in the Divine Service.
  1. By Profession of Faith.  If you have been confirmed Lutheran and are of a different synod, you may meet with the pastor and find out more about our synod’s doctrine and practice.  If you find agreement and make your desire known to the pastor to join this parish, we will welcome you into parish membership.  Please then contact your current pastor(s) and ask for a letter of release from membership so you may join this Christian congregation.  We will celebrate your new membership with a short rite of reception in the Divine Service (a very brief welcoming rite, not a confirmation rite).
  1. By Confirmation.  If you have not yet been confirmed in the Lutheran Church, we invite you into the catechetical process (confirmation instruction) of the Church.  Catechesis is for youth in grades 7-8, Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm-7:30pm during the school year; or for adults in our adult curriculum course called People Close To God.  This is a 9 week course which usually meets on Saturdays from 10:30am-Noon.  eMail pastor for the next class available.
We welcome you in the spirit of unity and the love of Christ Jesus.   Jesus prayed:   “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me” Saint John 17.  Please contact me with questions, or see our web site,  My e-mail address is
